Inspired by years of experience as a nanny and a volunteer teacher, she crafts engaging stories that encourage creativity and wonderment in children. Her passion for community, culture, and finding beautiful differences in various states throughout the country gives her the desire to share those unique and exciting places with children.

A resident of Temecula, California, known for its wineries, Mrs. Legre-Zigre was inspired by her own child to find and highlight family- and child-friendly attractions in her city. Some of these attractions are featured in her debut book.

Things that inspire me

Let’s take this from the top of the day, shall we?

I am inspired by a new morning, one that isn’t quite awake. There is a darknessto the sky that makes what the day will bring mysterious. This allows my imagination to unfurl. It is the most creative part of my day.

Once the sun tips over the eastern horizon, the house begins to stir, and my most wonderful inspiration wobbles in on still unsteady legs, calling my name. “Mommy?”

He is the very inspiration for RJ’s Adventures in Temecula. Curiosity in his eyes and a smile on his lips.

My day job inspires me to do all I can for people brave enough to forge a new path for them and their families, not buckle to fear or oppression and hope when it is in short supply. Their tenacity and strength, which is really a deep yearning to survive, is absolutely inspiring and humbling.

When I come home, I am inspired by a group of people who, with everything else they did earlier in the day, still want to know what each person is doing. My family is amazing, and each person inspires me to be part of a family that cheers for me, supports me in doing more, dreaming more, and not taking no for an answer. And I love giving the same back to them.

Late at night, right before I drop off to sleep, I wonder how my dreams will inspire me, but not for long because the sun is coming back over that horizon in a few hours, and I love my sleep.
